(the boss obviously never responded) 

This is an example of the ineffective 'work' of a terrorizing activist,
self-appointed breast implant 'advocate'.......

 I just went and told Prof Brownlie myself, all about the way you and
William Ewald (aka  thegulag) have been stalking me, and that he may
receive emails from you. I've already  apologized to him in advance for
any nutty emails you may send him.  I've told him about your  hysterical
accusations such as that I get paid by Steve Milloy.

As head of what has grown to be the largest silicone support group in the
world,  I began the only newsgroup on this topic, alt.support.breast-implant
in November, 1995.

I have written an informational booklet, "Breast Implants, The Myths, The

Silicone is a very difficult, divisive, and complex issue and millions of
lives and billions of dollars are at stake in this  controversy. I have
thousands of women in my group, and we are always searching for answers to
their multitude of serious health problems.

It is at the center of this debate,  http://www.junkscience.com, that I
had the distinct and unique experience of cybermeeting your colourful Dr.
Dalefield, known to us only as "Stella" on
http://www.cfis.org/ubbcgi/Ultimate.cgi, where she frequented the Breast
Implant Forum and was a prolific poster (771 messages)  -- since August
18, 1999.

My particular concerns are the broad scientific conclusions she makes.

These seem premature at best and very possibly false assurances so early
in the scientific process for the millions of women with implants and the
hundreds of thousands being implanted annually.

I quote Dr. Dalefield here:
"But I'll tell you some things I'm sure Silicone Breast Implants do not cause.
 Breast cancer.
 Autoimmune connective tissue disease.
 Thermal regulation disorders.
 Pulmonary silicosis."

We were curious if you do back her "to the hilt" on these conclusions,
Professor? We clearly do not have this same certainty.

As our chemistry does not work well for either of us, I am happy to "agree
to disagree" with Dr. Dalefield and hope that she will find topics other
than me to discuss.

My dear Professor Brownlie:
Perhaps you will recall the message I sent to you on 14/2/2000.

At that point in time, I had hoped that Dr. Dalefield would find other
targets than me for her disinformation campaigns.

Alas, I have recently discovered, her aggressive misbehavior has escalated
and now she claims scholarship as to my knowledge in silicone, silcon,
etc. As recently as 28/2/00 she publicly posted this meritless nonsense

Dr. Brownlie, the internet website she frequents, is funded by corporate
interests claiming to have "debunked" the theory that breast implants are
harmful and because of my one question to Dr. Dalefield, has censored me
from their site. One would think her campaign would have ended, but she
continues slandering me knowing I can not respond. I have no interest in
having her disinformation about me continuing.

Indeed, I filed a multimillion dollar slander lawsuit against a former
silicone manufacturer and now breast implant consultant Dr. Patrick J.
O'Leary in November, 1999.  Doctors Dalefield and O'Leary have formed a
fast cyberfriendship and he has become an authority figure to her on the
merits of silicone.  Because of his obvious bias, his "science" is highly
suspect as you can imagine. (see thread above).

If your university & department are going to continue to back Dr.
Dalefield "to the hilt" as she claims, or not, I would very much
appreciate the respect of a reply from you as soon as possible.

Unbiased silicone science is in its infancy, and for the Univeristy of
London to have such broad conclusions drawn as Dr. Dalefield's below,
seems premature at best, and totally inaccurate and unproven at worst. Are
you at one with her in these claims?

Dear Doctor Brownlie:

After my message to you on March 5th, I enjoyed a brief reprieve from
being Dr. Dalefield's target. If you had anything to do with that, as I
suspect you did, I appreciate it very much. Sadly, it was short lived.

It has just been brought to my attention that she is not only still
publicly shooting insults at me,  but now she is re-posting lies about me
and my organization. Her "sources" are my defendants in a libel suit  and
her "fact" is their twisted propaganda.

In her original communiqué with you regarding our "situation" (Feb. 11,
2000) she  mentioned Dr. O'Leary as the unbiased scientist to explain who
I am. She failed to add that he is currently looking for funding for the
"new & improved" 5th generation implant he wishes to manufacture,  and
that during the first 4 years of his involvement on the internet, he lied
about his identity and contacted implanted women  against Court Orders of
the Breast Implant Judge.

After I originally was sent her website address, http://www.dalefield.com
and I merely asked if this was she, I was thrown off this JunkScience
board, and new rules and much fuss made because they considered that
question a "threat" and Dr. Dalefield's "privacy" invaded. It was totally
hypocritical, as she continually criticizes me, and has made my work her
business.

I don't believe "privacy" is her goal at all.

As "Stella", she extensively writes about her real breasts, her real
husband, her real job, and her real boss. Recently she publicly posted
about having sex with her child in bed with Wes and her. Hardly one who
values "privacy."

Further, her webpage has many photos of her family, her CV, etc. etc.. so
again it seems "privacy" is not the issue, but her desire  to attack
others and spread rumours ~ without taking responsibility for what she
writes.

Please have no doubt, that board is funded by corporations to defend
dioxin, breast implants, nutrasweet, second hand smoke, the food additives
industry etc. and to "debunk" any "science" that supports the notion that
there is no global warming. It is not about unbiased investigation, the
goal of any university science department, I would imagine.

Dr. Dalefield has been having much fun at my expense and at the expense of
other women harmed by breast implants. It's one thing to post her insults, but
to post libelous statements as referenced above, brings attention to
her,  your department and the  university. I have no intention of allowing
her public defamation of me to go on without my public rebuttal. After
receiving one and one only email from me, she informed me to never email
her again with the implied threat she would turn turn me into my server.
That is when I first turned to you.

The breast implant issue will soon be raging again in Great Britain, as a
new investigation is being planned in October. We will be getting press
again and exposing the JunkScience Public Relations campaign and the harm
it does in it's attempt to "silence science."

Women's health, lives and families are at stake in this issue and I have
no intention of Dr. Dalefield or by any other of Mr. Milloy's "Junk
Scientists" ridiculing me unchallenged.

You may wish to review having Dr. Dalefield as an apologist for their
corporate sponsors and one who spreads propaganda without investigating
the validity.
